The Ad-Hoc Committee will meet on Monday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m., North Valley City Hall, 7747 Foothill Blvd.

Agenda items include:

1. Review Samoa Application file
2. Discussion - Proposed MND for 10046-10056 Samoa
3. Discussion – What next

Samoa Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND)

City Planning has released an MND for the proposed Samoa Project.  According to CD2 planning deputy Karo Torossian, the application was deemed complete on 10-11-11 and the MND issued same day.  This is not an approval of the project, just the process it goes through before getting approval.  Between the release date of 10-11-11 and 11-2-11 is the time when the community can weigh in and respond to items in the MND that they want responses to or changes made in what the application is proposing.  The STNC's Samoa Sub-Committee is working to prepare a response to the MND for the LUC and STNC to review and submit on behalf of the STNC.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to submit comments.

Attached you will find two letter's from Councilman Krekorian regarding the Samoa Avenue Housing project. One letter was sent to the General Managers of the Housing and Planning Departments, while the second letter is a response to anyone who contacted our office regarding the Samoa project.

Samoa Sub-Committee Meeting 10-17-11

The Samoa Sub-Committee will meet to discuss comments to the MND at a meeting on Monday, Oct. 17, 7 p.m. at North Valley City Hall.

STNC Votes to Stop Bond Funding Release

STNC Special Meetings 10-16-11

The STNC will hold a joint meeting of the Samoa Sub-Committe, Land Use Committee and Full STNC board on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 4:30 p.m. to approve a letter to Mr. Krekorian regarding the Samoa Project. STNC Website

City Planning issues Proposed MND dated 11-2-11 (comment deadline)
